The Adventures of Belfast Boy

(I know you'd never recognize them in their superhero uniforms; so I'll let you in on the secret: it's Jeff and Jack.)

We've had a few adventures over the past week - well, if you call leaving the house an adventure! We had lunch with our friends Christine and Isaac on Wednesday, and when I asked the waiter if he could heat Jackson's bottle in some hot water, he brought out this immensely ornate silver teapot. Not bad service to get for an almost-7-week-old!

Never one to live the life of the rich and ornate teapot-possessing at the expense of the people he serves, Belfast Boy also visited City Hall this week to give the mayor his thoughts on family life and low-emission transportation.

Finally, he stopped in to Queen's University to remind the academic world of his faith in the power of higher (and higher and higher) education.

After admitting to his loyal fans that this city can be a jungle, he took a well-deserved rest!

Jedi Master Jackson...

We happened to be passing the local theater on the opening night of "Star Wars: Clone Wars" and Jackson was able to take out a couple of clone troopers. This one surrendered, so he let him live...

One Whole Month

Can you believe it?! Jack is one month old. (Well, he was technically one month old last week, on the 6th.) It's hard to believe how much our lives have changed. It's even harder to believe how much he has changed! Here are a few pictures of our gorgeous wee man.

Sleeping is such a treat these days that sometimes it sneaks up on you...

And just in case you're wondering if his hands and feet are still as huge as they were at birth, here's a clue:

Friends and Fashion

Jackson has been a busy boy over the last week! Here are some shots of his visits with friends around Northern Ireland.

First, with Janice and Jillian who babysat so Mom and Dad could see Batman:

Auntie Karen Branney

Granny Claire Healey

And supper at Auntie Sally's (who didn't want to give him back!)

Being such a Man About Town, he has to have some fancy duds, which folks here have given him loads of! Here are just a few:
