Hugs Bunny

Tupperware Jack

For those of you not familiar with Tupperware, it's a handy line of plastic containers perfect for storing food leftovers...and entertaining babies (even when they have ear infections, as in the pictures below). Jack-Jack has made this fantastic discovery. His favorite items are: the salad dressing lid (a.k.a. "The Bane of Teething Pain"), and anything resembling a bowl into which he can shove his face and jabber, thereby hearing an echo of his own lovely voice. The best part? Knowing that one of the big people will clean up after his performance.

Spring Things

Evidently there IS a spring in Michigan!
After giving up hope, we're finally starting to see green grass and buds on trees, daffodils and forsythia, dirt, dirt, and more dirt! Since we are hoping to have a few plants of our own this year (both vegetable and floral), the two manly McVays (Jeff and Jackson, for those of you wondering which two that would be) got out to pull some weeds and turn over some soil.
Here is Jeff (gardener extraordinaire) with his handsome assistant

Our first Easter Sunday in Kalamazoo was amazing! We had breakfast at the church, and then a really moving sermon by my favorite speaker (a.k.a. Jeff), and then an afternoon of food and fun at our friends the Jennings. Of course, it wouldn't be complete without an Easter basket for the wee man:

Here we are in our Easter finest! Well, sort of... The first shot is of Jackson in the outfit he threw up on 15 minutes after we got to the church. The rest of the pictures are of him in his second-string Easter outfit, which was just a onesie and a pair of khakis. Still pretty cute!

I suppose I should balance out the pictures of "super cute awake Jackson" with pictures of "super cute asleep Jackson." Just so the sleeping boy doesn't feel left out:

This was after a day at daycare, where he slept about 40 minutes all day, instead of his 3-4 hours of napping in a normal day.

And this one was after another day at daycare. Wow! That kid loves to play hard!

As you can see, spring is great so far!
Oh, just so I don't get carried away, here's our parting shot...from last week:
