You know how people try to explain something to you over and over again, and you just can't quite get it? Maybe they're telling you what it's like to take off in a plane for the first time, or to drive a car for the first time, or what it's like to eat ice cream. Well, that is absolutely what we've been through over the last four days! We left for the hospital early Sunday morning, for me to be induced into labor (since the wee man hadn't arrived of his own initiative).
After several hours of labor and several scary moments when Jack's heartbeat dropped so low that even the midwife was scared, the doctor decided to deliver him by emergency c-section.
Looking good... The baby, that is!
Needless to say, we were ecstatic!!! And Nana and Papaw were, too...
His looks have changed so much since the first day, and he's less like a prune all the time!

And Wednesday - coming home!
We're all doing fine now. After his checkup today, we were told he has no heart problems. He just needs fattening up!

Oh my goodness, Jack is just too cute. We are just thrilled that he's here! Can't wait to meet that wee boy! (It looks like he's definitely his father's son ... the resemblance is pretty amazing.) Take good care.

Little Jackson McVay is SOOOO cute! Give him many, many kisses from Auntie Grace. They say you can't give babies too many kisses, so double up for me. :-)
I have to say one more time that YOU ARE SUCH A CUTE PREGO!! I figure you won't be posting any more prego pics for a while so I had to get that statement in one last time.
You must post many more baby pics. There is no such thing as too many as far as I'm concerned. Keep 'em comin'.
