No More Baby...

Well, ladies and gentlemen, it's official. Jack is no longer a baby. If you'd like proof, check out the following evidence:

Not quite ready to pedal, he pushed himself around. Nice pajamas, eh?

Have there ever been bluer eyes??? He's eating us out of house and home (as they say in West Virginia!) - trying all sorts of new foods and everything we have on our plates. His latest craving? Baked beans.

You know how they say that pastor's kids are the worst behaved? Well, they must also be the cutest. Look at these two! This is Jack with his buddy Rylan, who's the son of some friends of ours who are also involved in ministry. Poor wee men. We'd had them out shopping all day, in and out of hot/humid weather. Could they look any more exhausted? LOL

All he needs is his pipe and slippers

At the park with Da (as he's been calling Jeff - definitely a Belfast Boy!)

Modeling the latest in fashion from his Aunt Lisa

And here's one from a VERY important day: his first trip to the library!!!! (Look out academia!) Favorite library book so far: Global Babies. As my supervisor/friend Sally says: "We nerds reproduce ourselves."

Speaking of academia, let's just get it clear right now where his loyalties lie. Hee hee hee!

This is a video of what he did instead of walking, for the longest time. It was so hilarious. People would say to me, "That is FUNNY! I've never seen a baby do that before." After hearing that for about the 1200th time, I started to worry. And then one day a lady said to me, "Oh, my granddaughter did that same thing! And she walks just fine now." Whew! What a relief. But it was funny...

Not much of that baby business going on anymore!

First Firsts

Soooo much has happened in the last 6 weeks! For one thing, we haven't been living in our own house, but out in the country at Jeff's parents' house (while they're away). We have mold (or mould, depending on your continent) in our house, and while that's being solved, we are in the land of satelite internet connection (in other words, this broadcast may be interrupted by clouds, wind, rain, birds flying over, etc.) Jackson is a completely different wee boy (can't say baby anymore. Boo hoo!) than he was in May. Hope you enjoy this list of "firsts" for him.

First Sleepover with the Cousins

First Friend's Birthday Party

First Steps

First Birthday

First Motorcycle (Yes, it's his!)

First Haircut
(which we're having repaired this week, since he wouldn't sit still)

He's nearly talking; so we should be posting First Words soon!
